love love love

Ok....seriously...I LOVE this poem. This man is pure genius. This makes me feel so deeply. It makes me weep. It makes me want to tell the world. I am going to be ME. I am sick of hiding. I am sick of pretending in order to fit in. I believe that my life has been on hold because I could not greet my own arrival.
Well, today....I look into the mirror and I say Welcom Home Kimberly.
I have been waiting for your return.
Now,  let's live.
Really, really live.
Now, here is the poem.
Read it.
Feel it.

The time will come

when, with elation

you will greet yourself arriving

at your own door, in your own mirror

and each will smile at the other's welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.

You will love again the stranger who was yourself.

Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart

to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored

for another, who knows you by heart.

Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,

peel your own image from the mirror.

Sit. Feast on your life.
